Watch our new bitesize video exploring the quality assurance checks Quality Nominees and Lead IVs may implement throughout the year to ensure BTEC learner certification is eligible and timely in 2024/25.
If you're a new Quality Nominee or just need a quick update on the quality assurance cycle for your BTEC Level 2 and 3 qualifications this academic year, check out our short video.
From September 2024, centres delivering qualifications covered by BTEC quality assurance are no longer required to register a Lead Internal Verifier on Edexcel Online or confirm standardisation has taken place by ticking the box. Centres should keep internal records of who holds the Lead IV role and centre standardisation materials can be located on each qualification’s webpage in the Course Materials – Internal Assessments section. Materials are available from 1 September and should be completed prior to formal assessment commencing.
The following live events will be held online via our 'Zoom' training platform. To reserve your place, please follow the session link to complete the registration form. An email will be sent to confirm your booking and will include a link for you to add the meeting to your calendar.
Join the Vocational Quality Assurance Managers (VQAMs) to get a hands-on understanding of:
- The BTEC National 2025 AAQ quality assurance model
- Centre Level QA
- Programme Level QA
- The roles of the Quality Nominee and Lead Internal Verifier
- Assessment and IV planning
- How to use Pearson Set Assignment Briefs (PSABs)
- The importance of timely standards verification
We'll also share tools, templates, and FAQs to help you manage programmes effectively and improve learner outcomes.
This is your chance to see what's new in the BTEC National AAQs and how it differs from the current BTEC programmes.
For UK Centres only.
